Parent - Tot Classes

Two & Under Parent Tot Classes

The Cabot Parks and Recreation Parent Tot Class is designed to be an introduction to water safety for both the parent and the child. Beginning swim skills are introduced in this class.

Studies show that nearly half of all drowning victims are infants and toddlers. Early exposure to water safety and swimming can prevent this when properly administered.

This class is designed to teach parents how to safely learn and play with their child in and around water from an early age to help keep them safe.  All Parent Tot classes are taught by Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors who are also Certified as American Red Cross Lifeguards. The combination of these two certifications lets our patrons know that these individuals have successfully completed 60 hours of specific training in effectively teaching learn to swim programs, water safety, customer service, lifesaving, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
